Betty J. (Hollobaugh) Daugherty, 89, of Creekside, Plumcreek Twp., (Armstrong County) passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, White Twp.
She was born August 3, 1936, in Plum Creek Township, PA (Armstrong County) to the late William and Frances (Weaver) Hollobaugh. Betty lived all her life in Pumcreek Twp.
Mrs. Daugherty was a faithful member of Elderton United Methodist Church.
She was a hard worker, as she worked at Agway, Kittanning, Frailey’s Building Supply, Plumcreek Twp., and assisted her husband with running equipment on the family farm. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother, as she loved babysitting her grandchildren. In her spare time, which wasn’t often, she found enjoyment in her garden and canning.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, whom she married on August 5, 1966, David Wilson Daugherty, her two daughters, Cindy (Rich) Cramer of Plum Creek Twp., Brenda (Joel) Keeler of Plum Creek Twp., her granddaughters, Carrie (Austin) Passmore, Sarah (Dylan) Toy, Alyssa (Troy) Peace, her great-grandchildren, Carter Passmore, Maverick Toy, Addison Toy, Cayden Peace, Kinsley Peace, her sister, Dorothy (Jack) Fleming of Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above, and her two sisters, Anna Mae Spence and Jean Marshall.
At the family’s request, the viewing and funeral ceremonies will be privately held at the Elderton United Methodist Church, 125 N. Main St., Elderton. Her burial will immediately follow privately in Atwood Cemetery, Cowanshannock Twp. Her niece,Sharon Waltenbaugh will officiate ceremonies. The DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport. (724-295-3100) was entrusted with Betty’s final arrangements.
